Theo Paige
Theo Paige had already taken the west coast scene by storm at age
15 with his energetic Irish fiddle playing and creative finger style
guitar, not to mention his mandolin and bodhrán playing. Now,
with his acclaimed debut recording entitled Theo Paige, made at the
ages of 15, 16 and 17, featuring renowned guitarist Martin
Simpson on guitars and Séamus Egan on banjo (from Offaly,
Ireland, not the Solas Egan), Theo's creativity and musical playfulness
are on record. With musical family relatives in Ireland and France,
and a playful spirit from his California home, Theo has absorbed many
influences in a short span. Playing in styles from Ireland, the American
fiddle tradition, and Breton music, while combining his strong sense
of improvisation, Theo has impressed everyone who has heard him. Known
already in Europe and Ireland from previous performances, Theo is
one of the brightest young musicians on the planet. Read an excerpt
